Discovery Parks - Forster

If you’re looking for a holiday destination with something for everyone, Discovery Parks – Forster will fit the bill. Located an easy 3 hour drive north of Sydney and nestled on the banks of the Wallamba River, Discovery Parks – Forster has everything you need for a great family trip away.

There are plenty of accommodation choices at Discovery Parks – Forster, no matter your holiday style. For those visitors who are ready to camp in a caravan or tent, the sites are generously sized and covered in grass. There are ensuite sites available for those guests looking for a little bit of extra convenience.

If you’re after cabin accommodation, all of the cabins are modern and immaculately presented. Whether you are after a cosy cabin for two, or you need to fit in a busy family of up to 6 people, there will be a cabin to suit. All cabins come with private bathrooms, spacious kitchens and balconies to sit out on in the evening to watch the stars. You can even book one of the river front cabins so you can enjoy unimpeded river scenes from your balcony each day.

For those looking for a little more luxury, then the Riverview Apartments are the perfect option. These Studio Apartments which are perfect for a romantic weekend away, or Two-Bedroom Apartments for a larger group or family. All apartments boast elegant, modern styling, spacious bathrooms and comfortable living spaces and offer a gorgeous view over the Wallamba River, complete with the sound of the local birds and wildlife which make the river their home.

Once you’ve settled into your accommodation, you can head out to enjoy the onsite activities on offer. The kids will love riding their bikes and scooters around the pump track, or swimming in the gorgeous resort-style pool with a rock waterfall. There is even a games room, a Kids Club during the season and a playground, so they’ll never be bored. While they’re busy, you can either cook up a meal in the camp kitchen, or just relax with a coffee at the park café.

But what about the family dog? At Discovery Parks – Forster, furry family members are just as welcome. There are dog-friendly sites and cabins available, as well as an off-leash dog park so they can run around and even a dog wash in case they get muddy or decide to take a dip in the river. There are also plenty of walks along the river and around the area which will keep both dog and owner active and content.

Although there’s more than enough to do onsite, there are also plenty of water activities on the Wallamba River to try, including kayaking, fishing and water skiing. The huge National Motorcycle Museum is also nearby with plenty to see, or the Big Buzz Fun Park with lots of activities for the kids.
